hey everyone,

Were sitting at our good pal Sara's house in Calgary waiting to eat some delicous vegitarian lasagna. Here's an update of our last couple days:

YWE FEST-Edmonton

Awesome as always. Although we've played Edmonton a thousand times, thanks to everyone for dancing and buying merch. Sorry we couldn't accomadate everyone with sizes!! We'll be back soon with new merch and make it up to you.

Here were some highlights of the fest:

A Textbook Tragedy-Awesome tech from BC.

Run With The Hunted-Our heavy ass friends from Edmonton.

E Town Beatdown-Our sing along style friends from Edmonton.

It was a great time, thanks to Jay Z for hooking us up again!!

Calgary- last night

We can't express how awesome this show was!! Thanks to everyone who came out and sang along- - especially those that knew every word to every one of our songs. Thanks to Peter, Cory and Kelsey for making the show possible.

We'll have some pictures up here in the next couple of days.

WOW!!! WE SUCK.

I'm ashamed that we haven't been updating this thing more often- - but hey, I guess we've just been having too much of a good time!

The US and Ontario were excellent. We'd like to give to thanks the following: Sterling, Claire, Shane, Every Step Every Breath, Lions, Life Ruiner, Battlecat, Race Well Run, After The Eulogy, Seconds To Go, Grizzly Adams, Outnumbered- - and all of the other amazing promoters/bands/people we had the good fortune of meeting. We promise that the next time we play a show in your area or with your band we'll write a post raving about how amazing you are!!

So after 5 weeks in the US and Eastern Canada we are on our way out west to play YWE festival in Edmonton tommorow. If your in the area it's at THE POWERPLANT(on the U of A campus) and some amazing bands(run with the hunted, misery signals, drive by punch, darkest hour etc.) are playing.

Two nights ago we played Humbolt for our first time with our new friends in Streetlight Scenery and Midnight Effect. It was great to play a place that hasn't seen a lot of hardcore shows. Circle pitting and all types of crazy antics followed.

Last night was Saskatoon. Anyone who is familiar with the history of our band knows that Saskatoon and Far From Ruin have a shady past. Last night there were no signs of that existing- - no fights, no egos, nothing. It was great. Thankyou to everyone who came out and made us feel welcome in your town.

We've got a few more shows left on this tour before we head home to start writing again. Please check out our myspace for info on those shows- - www.myspace.com/farfromruin

Also, some of you might remember we went into the studio recently to record three new songs- - keep checking this journal and our myspace for info on what is happening with those songs. It's very exciting!!

I promise to keep updating this thing!! I will even be uploading some pictures!!
