THE ROOOOAAAD!

We just finished our 5 show run with ANEW and it was awesome. Those guys are amazing, check out their new record THE DEATH OF YOUTH on Torque Records- - www.myspace.com/anewhc.

Were chilling right now at our pal Avrinders place and watching some F'd up movie about drugs. Tommorow is an off day and then were off to Ontario. Check out www.myspace.com/farfromruin for dates.

Well, here's what's happening:
Recording is....FINISHED
Yep, all the tracks are laid down. It's now in the hands of the genius Kevin Gales for mixing.
Then it'll be sent off to Alan Douches for mastering.
Then, exactly what will be done for release will be decided.
We play in Swift Current on the 12th, and then Regina on the 13th with Cancerbats. Then we'll have a couple days off before we head out East on tour. Dates for that can be found on our myspace.

I don't have Tommy's camera right now, so I can't put up pictures from the last day of recording, or of the mysterious Kevin Gales, so you'll have to wait on those..
BUT, I will put up this picture of me eating cake with my dad watching.



We're doing pretty good with updating this, aren't we!?

07/07/06----#5 Dizzled

Well today marks the last day of tracking(mostly) for this visit to the studio. Guitars and vocals are all finished. Tommorow is crew vocals, and to help us out we have our pals Jumpy Josh, Robin Sernich and Krish Olson up to our little house on the prairies.

I got tattooed today so I'm not really sure if anything cool happened. I can tell you that on the way back to the studio Luke's window kept falling out of his car and scaring me.

Daaaaaaaay 2!
Today, we were up bright and early at the crack of 9am! Kevin came over and we started the drums! Andrew pulled off his drums quite nicely and with a few chops, sounds rad.
Next, Tommy stepped in and dropped some hot bass licks, piece of cake!
Then, it was time for the water to get fixed. Kevin had a nice little guy come by and fix our water situation, so we now have running water! (hoorah!)
Then we took a BBQ break and BBQed at Kevin's place! Woohoo!
Then came the return of Luke! He was back! And we started on my guitar tracks. Finished those babies off and here we sit!(after some VERY frustrating guitar troubles. As in my input would work if it wanted to, and if it didnt want to work, it wouldn't...FUCK).
Luke's training for his toaster-repair-man future career. Will of course is playing Metroid, Tommy's cleaning up a little mishap mess, and I'm just sittin back being lazy.
Tomorrow, bright and early we'll start off by rockin' Luke's guitar tracks, and then by noon hopefully we can start in on some vocal-action! Then we're gonna head back to the city for the kickass Robzat's birthday show! Then we'll ride on back out here for a rad latenight drive, and then here we'll be by Saturday morning putting the finishing touches on our recording! Yes!!!

06/07/06----#3 And were off!!!

Day one of recording is finished. We arrived in Govan at 7 pm, loaded in and checked out the studio/our living quarters for the next week. For anyone who has never heard of Govan, SK before(which is more likely, then not) it's a small town of roughly 200 people about an hour north of Regina, SK.

We set up and laid down some base guitar/vocal tracks. So far everything is sounding great.

After finishing we had some food and walked around the town of Govan and "explored". We met a Govan's local punk rockers and hung out. Now Luke and Dre are watching Seinfeld, Will is glued to his DS and Jason is, well, who knows.

03/07/06----#2 Major Bummer

The studio has flooded!!!!

Mr. Kevin Gales studio is filled with water and black mold due to a heavy rain. Never fear, he is clearing it out as we speak and we'll start recording on Wednesday.
